IXPE Foam Sheet – Product Overview

IXPE (Irradiation Cross-Linked Polyethylene) is a low-density polyethylene foam transformed through electronic irradiation into an independent, atom-mesh bubble structure. It is a continuous foaming material with a smooth surface, uniform closed-cell structure, and excellent dimensional stability.

Compared to other foam materials, IXPE offers superior performance in thermal insulation, weather resistance, aging resistance, shock absorption, cushioning, flexibility, moisture resistance, sound insulation, and environmental protection. It is commonly used as flooring underlayment and can be laminated with aluminum foil, aluminum film, or other materials.

Key features include:

  • Unlimited length

  • Adjustable color and density

  • Non-water-absorbent

Key Properties of IXPE Foam

  • Superior Thermal & Acoustic Insulation
Excellent thermal insulation helps maintain comfortable room temperature and reduce energy costs. Its sound insulation capabilities create a quieter indoor environment.

  • Water & Moisture Resistance
Resistant to water and moisture, making it ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-humidity areas. It also protects the subfloor from moisture damage.

  • Shock Absorption & Durability
High resistance to pressure and impact makes it an ideal protective layer beneath flooring, reducing damage and providing extra walking comfort.

  • Walking Comfort
Provides comfortable cushioning underfoot, reducing foot fatigue and enhancing the overall feel of the floor.

  • Easy Installation
Available in rolls or sheets for quick and easy installation over most existing floor surfaces.
