Silicone by nature performs well under UV and is mechanically stable over a broad temperature range, often considered for high temperature gaskets and low temperature gaskets.
Good for heavy water spray sealing when properly compressed
Closed cell, prevents wicking
Soft gasket allows for sealing with low closure force
Wide temperature range (-100°F to 500°F)
UV and ozone resistance
Can be die cut or waterjet cut
Acrylic or silicone adhesives are available

Silicone Sponge Gaskets
Premium Silicone rubber displays excellent resistance to heat, weathering, ozone and a wide range of chemicals. It is impervious to UV light, is non toxic, chemically inert and will retain its flexibility and properties over a wide temperature range. The material does not impart taste or smell and has excellent anti ageing properties.
