XPS Foam Board Properties


XPS foam is an insulating panel manufactured from fully recyclable material. It is produced from extruded polystyrene, a material that does not deteriorate. The foam structure consists of very fine closed cells that provide excellent physical and mechanical characteristics.

Heat Insulation Performance

XPS foam does not conduct heat due to its special cell structure. When XPS panels are installed as wall liners or floor underlays, heat from the room or truck body is reflected back toward the surface. This helps prevent heat loss, thereby lowering energy consumption and reducing the carbon footprint.

Damp Protection

XPS foam products are also water-repellent. They do not rot, support mold growth, or allow dampness to penetrate the structure. XPS panels are resistant to cement, plaster, and most alkalis, except for organic solvents.

Soundproof

In addition, XPS foam has excellent sound-insulating properties, making truck or room floors quieter when walked on. It is an ideal product for reducing sound transmission to levels below the desired threshold.
